GPSR or General Product Safety Regulation, was introduced by the EU to help protect online shoppers. It does so by ensuring they are provided with safety and regulatory information related to the product they are buying.
If a seller fails to meet these requirements then the marketplace, for example Amazon or eBay, will remove the listings.
Sellers must also identify who the "responsible person" is with the EU that represents them.
